Who inspires you?  Passionate Strong Lesbian Feminist Wimmin

Tell us something about you that no one would know  I’ve studied classical and jazz piano at the Conservatorium of Music in Melb, Sydney & Adelaide, and I love my baby grand piano nearly as much as my bikes – but not as much as my dogs, Angus & Tish.

Where’s your favourite place in the world?  France for its food and culture. Second only to my home with my pups and motorbikes.

Tell me how you first got involved in with DOBM?  After meeting some members at 2013 Sydney Mardi Gras, I was encouraged to get my Motorbike licence as I’d ridden for four decades unlicensed. The recalcitrant in me deciding that the cost and hard work to obtain my heavy vehicle licences to drive trucks, heavy plant and machinery, was simply revenue making by motor rego asking for more $ for another licence. However it was Dykes on Bikes who encouraged me to get my Bike licence which I did at Calder Raceway 2013 Vic. so then I could be Legal to ride with DoBM in parades and events. It was an honour to be welcomed and make the commitment to earn my DoBM back patch with the best Gangaroos ever.

What is so empowering about riding a motorcycle? And How does riding transform other areas of your life?  Being in Dyke space riding our ‘steel ponies’ with my crew, is empowering and exhilarating. Riding motorbikes has given me confidence to make decisions or choices in my life without hesitation, but most valued to me is the feeling of Respect & Pride for myself, Our Sisterhood and our LGBTIQ community.

Which pride parade would you love to ride in?  San Francisco Pride where our Mother Club DoB originated in 1975.

What are you passionate about?  Safe spaces for wimmin, kids and animals. Motorbikes, DOBM, my puppies, and Richmond Footy Club, go Tigers! 🖤🖤

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?  To create Safe spaces for all wimmin, children and animals always

What is your dream bike? Make/Model/Year and why?  The 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan D2 does it for me. It’s a classic bagger and being a 4 Speeder has a lot of torque on take off and very comfortable to ride long distance.

What do you wish other people knew about DOBM?  We are Protectors and Philanthropists for our Rainbow Community. Fiercely protective and proud of our Patch, and Herstory, encouraging Dykes to Ride with us for fun freedom and friendship.
